- Provide technical guidance and hands-on trouble-shooting of Oracle databases and application servers
- Develop, coach and mentor Operation Team members
- Work with support and development teams to review SQL and PL/SQL code and data model designs for performance and maintainability
- Coach developers of Oracle DBMS features and best practice
- Participate in database planning and implementation & performance tuning
- Best document practice for efficient database resource usage is essential
- Provide databases support, backup service and recovery consultation
- Develop database storage and capacity forecasts
- Prepare weekly team report and database status report to management
- Diploma or degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines
- Minimum 4 years experience in Oracle technology with 2 years in providing technical solutions & consultation services and supporting the implementation of large scale projects
- Certificate holder of Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 8i or higher is an added advantage
- Strong PL/SQL, SQL, database tuning and trouble-shooting skills
- AIX or Solaris UNIX Administration certification
